The Venetian
fleet is made up of
hundreds of different types of vessel, some that are strictly
local, others influenced by riverboats and vessels of
the Adriatic. This makes it difficult to create a
definitive classification and 'taxonomy', or even to
define what is traditional and what is not. Therefore
the only discriminant we have posed is the use: if a
certain type boat takes root and 'reproduces' for a
certain length of time it becomes, for us, automatically
traditional. |
